Service Name: Profilecode
Version: 3.0
Last Updated: January 20, 2026
1. Overview
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legally binding contract between you ("User") and the service operator of Profilecode ("Operator"). This Agreement applies to the iOS/Android app and the Web (profilecode.codes) (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you are deemed to agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Definitions
- "User Input Data": Information entered by the user as part of using the Service, such as answers to diagnostic questions and optional display names
- "Score": Numerical or categorical values calculated based on User Input Data
- "Profile": Personality analysis results presented by the Service based on Scores
- "Match Test Result": Compatibility analysis results between users or groups
- "Account": A user status identified by email address, etc., that enables server-side data synchronization
- "Anonymous Use": Using the Service without creating an account (primarily stored on the device)
- "Shared Link": A link (token) that a user can share via external channels (social media, etc.) for compatibility tests
3. Eligibility (Age)
The Service is intended for users aged 16 or older in principle. We may not verify age, but by using the Service, the user represents that they are at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, please do not use the Service.
4. License Grant
The Operator grants the user a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service, subject to this Agreement. This license does not grant ownership of any intellectual property rights or content associated with the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
Users agree to the following:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and comply with applicable laws and regulations
- When using diagnostic features, do not input or share with the intent to harm others
- Do not use the Service in a way that impairs its functions or other users' experiences
6. Prohibited Activities
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the Service or its components
- Redistribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the Service or its content without the Operator's permission
- Circumvent security measures, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with operation or integrity
- Use the Service for purposes that violate third-party rights (IP, privacy, etc.) or applicable law
7. User Input Data and Auto-Generated Results
The Service calculates Scores based on User Input Data and presents Profiles and Match Test Results. These results are auto-generated and do not constitute professional advice (medical, psychotherapy, legal, investment, etc.). How you use the results is your responsibility, and the Operator does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
The Service does not provide free-posting user-generated content (UGC) features such as bulletin boards or comments. However, input such as display names and indirect interactions via Shared Links may occur (Section 7.1).
7.1 Shared Links (Link Sharing and Indirect Interaction)
- Shared Links can be given to third parties via external channels (social media, messaging apps, etc.).
- Shared Links may be accessible without login. Because Shared Links may include information viewable by recipients, handle them with care.
- The validity period of a Shared Link is, in principle, 30 days from issuance.
- Shared Links currently cannot be revoked (invalidated) at an arbitrary time. Users should share with this in mind.
- Recipients of a Shared Link may sync the shared user's user ID, display name (if set), scores, etc. to their own device for compatibility tests. No additional input or direct in-app messaging is provided.
- When a user gives a Shared Link to a third party, the user is deemed to have consented to providing information necessary for that sharing.
- If misuse of links (harassment, impersonation, unauthorized use, etc.) is suspected, the Operator may restrict access or suspend accounts.
8. Data Storage and Privacy
8.1 Anonymous Use (No Account)
- Web: Diagnostic answers may be stored in browser storage (e.g., web memory/storage). They can be removed by clearing browser data.
- App: Diagnostic answers may be stored in local offline databases. They can be removed by deleting the app or device operations.
8.2 Account Use (Account Creation/Linking)
- If a user creates an account or converts from anonymous use (e.g., email/password setup), the Service may send and store data on servers (e.g., Supabase) for data synchronization (e.g., transferring device answers/history).
- Information that may be stored: Email address, user ID, diagnostic answers, scores (raw/aggregate), answer history, shared link tokens, group information, etc.
- Retention period: In principle, until the user deletes the account
8.3 Account Deletion
When a user deletes an account, the Operator will, within a reasonable period, delete user data, shared link tokens, and group-related information on the server. However, exceptions may apply where retention is required for legal compliance, security, or dispute response.
For details on data handling, third-party services, ads/measurement, and user rights, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Services (Including Analytics, Ads, and Generative AI)
The Service may use third-party services for functionality, analytics, and advertising (e.g., Supabase, Google Analytics on the web, AdMob in the app, generative AI services for generating diagnostic text). The Operator does not guarantee the content or handling of third-party providers, and use of such services is governed by each provider's terms. For details, please see the Privacy Policy.
10. Suspension or Termination
The Operator may suspend or terminate a user's account or access to the Service without prior notice in the following cases:
- Violation of this Agreement
- Involvement in prohibited activities
- Compliance with legal requirements
- Other cases deemed reasonably necessary by the Operator
11. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." The Operator does not guarantee continuous access, error-free operation, compatibility with specific devices/browsers, or the accuracy of diagnostic results.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
The Operator's total liability for claims related to the Service is limited to the amount paid by the user for using the Service, if any.
13. Force Majeure
The Operator is not responsible for delays or nonperformance due to events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, network failures, government actions, or cyberattacks.
14. Dispute Resolution (Including Arbitration and Class Action Waiver for U.S. Residents)
14.1 Japan and Other Regions (Excluding U.S. Residents)
Disputes arising from this Agreement or the Service will be resolved through good-faith consultation. If not resolved, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
14.2 For U.S. Residents (Arbitration)
For users residing in the United States, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Users and the Operator waive the right to a jury trial.
14.3 Class Action Waiver (U.S. Residents)
U.S. resident users waive the right to bring disputes related to this Agreement or the Service as class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions, and may bring claims only on an individual basis.
15. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with Japanese law, without regard to conflict of law principles. However, mandatory laws of the user's place of residence may apply.
16. Changes to This Agreement
The Operator may change this Agreement as needed. If there are material changes, the Service will provide notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Since the Service does not include free-posting UGC, it is not operated under continuous monitoring, but when reports of misuse, harassment, impersonation, etc. are received, the Operator will investigate and take reasonable action (access restrictions, account suspension, etc.).
